First, he removed the mirror from the door and replaced it with the Boo Boy picture - frame and all. He glued the picture's plastic scull frame onto the front of the medicine cabinet's door and then gave it a light coat of gold spray paint to even out the color of both frames to look more like one. He cut out the back of the medicine cabinet leaving corners to fasten it to the wall, and used the cutout as a template to cut a hole to match through one of the walls in our maze. He attached a drawer pull to the door on the inside of the cabinet. With the back removed, you can now push the cabinet door open from the inside out.
He mounted the cabinet over the hole in the wall and an actor can now wait until a ToT comes through the maze, and when they least expect it, open the picture frame and reach out of the wall to grab at them.
If you use this idea, make certain that your cabinet is fixed firmly to the wall with heavy duty screws. The safety of you and your guests should always be a priority. |
