| Brother Lucian created this fellow to light the way for our guests. He is mounted on a simulated stone wall decoration we found in the mark-down isle at Marshalls. The wall decoration originally had a lion's head in the middle of it that was broken in a couple of places so he removed the lion and replaced him with a skelly. The skelly is the same type we used for the Blood Fountain - we got them at Party City. Brother Lu considered using a battery operated candle for this project but decided on a plug-in because he wanted to use a flicker bulb that requires a higher votage than what the batteries could handle. He crafted the hands that hold the candle out of Crayola Model Magic and painted them to match the rest of the skelly. The rings and srews holding the skelly's joints together were removed and the bones were hot-glued into position. He inserted a thick black wire into the skelly's kneebone to help support the candle. The total cost of this prop was about $25. |
